Brent Bacon

Brent Bacon was born on Jan 7,1956, in the PA/NY border town of Wellsville, New York.
He lives and works in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He is married and has two grown up daughters. Bacon owns, or is owned by three dogs, two Cairn Terriers, and a Lashapoo by the name of Grandpuppy.

His poetry ~

I would like to share with you Brent's words, and philosophical insights on what his poetry represents: "My main concerns are for the future of mankind and how we treat the earth. Is our population going to outgrow our world? Are we intelligent enough to restrict our population and assume our place amongst the rest of the creatures, leaving room for them? Through my poetry, I hope to show that man must accept his place in the world, not over it. We are a part of the ecology and must accept that. By hunting, I return to the roots of man and my role as a predator. I gain a much finer appreciation of the life that feeds me. I hope to show this attitude to others through my poetry of casual observations while in the woods."

Brent Bacon's poems reflect on the essence of Mother Nature from a Hunter's perspectives.
