British novelist and poet, De la Mare wrote for both children and adults. His Volumes of poetry "The Listeners" and "Other Poems" established him as a writer in 1912. His additional novel, "Memoir of a Midget" won him acclaim and the "James T. Black Memorial Prize" in 1922.
