Mary Weir

Mary Weir was born in 1969, in Lejeune, North Carolina. Weir is also daughter of the writer, Marv Hardin. While in the Air Force she was called to serve in Cairo, Egypt during Desert Shield. During this tumultuous stage - she met and fell in love with a colleague that she had previously met while being stationed in North Dakota. After their return from Desert Storm, the couple were married in 1991. They are now blessed with two wonderful children and have made their home in Lapeer, Michigan.

Mary's interests lie in freelancing writing for local newspapers. To read more of this author's view and aspirations while she was growing up - see her father's bio ~

Her writing ~

"I just try to put myself into whatever I'm writing about, the scenario and the feelings that accompany it, and the words come. I am positive, though I never knew, that whatever talent I have was inherited from my dad. I would have to say my dad is my favourite poet, for sure. I did love the Shel Silverstein poems they read to us in school, but ultimately my dad's work is my favourite."
