Vivien Steels"It is as though I am taken over with the words and know what to start with and what words will end the poem."FeatureVivien Steels lives in Nottingham & retired from teaching/lecturing in 1987 due to the illness M.E./CFS. She loves writing poetry (also short stories & articles) & paints in watercolours/acrylics. She has been widely published in small poetry presses/magazines & also has had many poems on the Internet (some with artwork) with ongoing local exhibitions of her artwork/poetry. She was the Poetry Editor with the online poetry magazine WRITE-AWAY, now called WAH @ www.wah.org.uk for issues WAH 3 – WAH 5. Vivien designed/printed a first collection of her published poems illustrated in colour with her paintings entitled *PROMISE* (Vivi*Press – June 2003) to coincide with her “Talking Paint” exhibition of 40 paintings + 40 illustrated poems & has recently designed/printed her second collection of poems/illustrations entitled *MANDALA*.
