Fairest lady,
forget who I am
and who you must be.
Let's rush away
from this stuffy outdoor gathering
of dignitaries and nobility,
run together through the bushes
where we might be alone
on a blanket by the stream.

Later we'll hurry further
into the King's forests,
enjoying the quiet peace,
smelling the gentle fragrances,
breathing the rich oxygen
from everlasting trees,
and return together at sunset
before everyone of importance
must leave.

- Chris Lindsay
