Awakened at dawn by birds shrill squeals
Invading my sleep my dreams they do steal
The bright sunlight through the curtain's crack
A breath of fresh sea air which is what we lack
A stroll down the Prom now the sun was deceiving
The chill in the air which the sea mist is leaving
I observe the tide's debris, thrown away, left behind
Remains of a picnic, although treasures you may find
In the distance silhouetted the Ferris wheel I see
Holds the screams and the laughter, excitement and glee
Remembering the pleasures it has given to us all
From the rise to the top till the ground we then fall
In an hour or so holds a different scene
You would never believe how quiet it has been
The Golden Mile a mass of tourists galore
From all around the world this place they adore
The Tower it is famous to all Nation-wide
Not like the one at Pisa doesn't lean to one side
The rides on the Fun Fair leave your heart a racing
On the Grand National ride, the other car you are chasing
If you ride on the Big One, do so without fear
Although when you look down your end you feel near
On the Play Station you're catapulted up into the sky
On the Big One you drop and feel like you can fly
If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting Blackpool
You really must do so you'll see it's real cool
You will be addicted to the attractions it holds
You'll come back again soon, your life's dreams to unfold.
