Love can seem an ill wind you wish to leave, Or keep you warm where else you would freeze. Love can be a tempest that whips up the seas, or the caressing touch of a gentle breeze. Love can take your mind to a state of fatigue, Or it can take your torment and put you at ease. Love can inspire the strength of Hercules, Or make you collapse weak at the knees. Love can be the reason for the air you breathe Or the cause of agony for whom you bereave. Love can be the passion for one to conceive, Or just the driving force to secure a species. Love can be to give without thought to recieve, Or the protection of another for whom you deceive. Love can be your worth without what you achieve, Or the sensitive concern for whom you appease. Love is dependant on what you believe, Your views and experience as to what you perceive. Love has as many branches as do trees, For Love can be described as all of these. - Nigel L. Spark
