Fine hazy curtain of misting rain,
Draws across the mountain range.
Savouring views from left to right,
Sun sinking horizon melts into night.

Mysterious splendour as old as time,
Abundant pleasures scattered to find.
Natural treasures engulfed in green,
Where body is vital and mind serene.

Cascading waters dance on rocks,
To a distant roar where the waterfall drops.
Sounds of tranquillity ring in crisp air,
Reviving senses to keenly aware.

Black bitumen beyond meandering track,
Never a glance over shoulder to ever look back.
Features glowing from mind serene,
Memory singed by virgin scene.

Hills strewn flat to grassy plain,
Tall trees yielding to fields of grain.
Beyond the wonder comes despair,
Where a tear combines with polluted air.
