Crisis Print E-mail

Musing worryingly over someone else
Dear and special I realised

That

In a crisis
I would rely on his heart
More than I would on his mind

And then
Following the same inner logic
I thought

That

In love
I would rely on my heart
More than I would on my mind

For when the reverse might have been true
And I seemed to rely on my mind
More than I did on my heart

I ended up with a twisted mind
And a broken heart

I ended up in a crisis

The only crisis in which I should rely on my heart
More than I should on my mind

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."

~ HH the Dalai Lama
