I'll be okay without you;
I just wanted to see what it was like
To remember the feel of your touch,
To hold you in my arms at night.
I knew it wasn't forever;
I knew we would end again.
It was only a few moments together,
A time between two friends.
I miss you in my soul,
In the deepest part of me.
It's hard to let you go,
Like I don't want to be free.
Free from the memories of us,
From the life that might have been.
I try not to think of it,
Try not to feel those things again.
Be happy my love,
The treasured one of my past.
My life goes out without you,
But my love will forever last.

"Love one another, but make not a bond of love. Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls."
