The aim of PoeticPortal is to provide an environment for poets and poetry lovers alike to enjoy, read, relax, and discuss poetry. It offers an archive of the best loved poems, poetry and verse that you knew and loved as a child.

The design is simple and clean with no popup advertising to disturb the enjoyment of the poems we have available.

We have a forum, known as the Poets Corner where both new and old poems can be discussed while providing a decorum for those that wish to intereact with one another.

The engine behind the PoeticPortal.net website is an award winning Open Source content management system called Joomla that uses PHP scripting and a MySQL database to deliver our content and services.

The PoeticPortal Website is running on the award winning Open Source Content Management System Joomla.  Joomla is used all over the world to power everything from simple, personal homepages to complex corporate web applications.

"One ship sails East, And another West, By the self-same winds that blow, Tis the set of the sails And not the gales, That tells the way we go."
