Christopher: Heart's Invocation

In time of pain or hardship, when all seems darkened blue,
I’ll whisper spells across the sea, in hopes of finding you,
They may take flight, or swim beneath, or carry on the breeze,
But their aim is true, and just for you, to help in time of need,
So when life is a little rough, the world dark and unkind,
Fall upon my spell, my friend, to ease your troubled mind.

Aurora: Poet's Spell

Your poems, they weave a tapestry, of stardust and moonbeams,
They capture all my troubled thoughts, and wrap them in sweet dreams,
And how you twill your magic, I’m afraid that I can’t tell,
But it clasps me and enchants me as you cast your poet’s spell,
So don’t fret about your words, my friend, for they have done their part,
They’ve made their way across the sea and reached inside my heart.

Christopher: Spirit’s Sigh

I thank you from my heart complete, with well to draw the hue,
Of the light, you weave so deep, between my soul and you,
For circumstance, and fate's embrace, have played a hand serene,
To bring upon this empty place, your face of angels' dream.
" Tonight, for you the spells renewed, and cast upon the sky,
It speaks of days in bliss, my miss, your name upon my sigh."

Aurora: Swept Away

And this is just the start, my friend, of how it soon will be
We’ll spend our days in endless rhyme, and blissful poetry
We’ll wrap ourselves in heady verse, a couplet, or a song
And all who hear our poetry will want to rhyme along!
Thus we’ll start our journey with a singing verse or two
And I will always be so glad that I was found by you.

Aurora: Celestial Slumber

Come, where you can find your rest,
And leave behind your woes,
As twilight twinkles into night,
As dusk comes to its close.

You need this resting time apart,
To soothe your throbbing mind,
It will bring rejuvenation,
To your thinking world, you’ll find.

The midnight skies will blanket you,
The stars will sing a song,
As you close your eyes with sleepy sighs,
Lulled by celestial throng.

So take your needed slumber,
And then dream a dream or two,
And when you awake, you will find,
Me waiting here for you.

- Aurora Antonovic

  Christopher: Solaris Eternal

Birdsong calls across the morn
To herald coming of the dawn,
While in my slumber I engage
Dreams of thunder upon my stage.

Waking with the gentle touch
From raven mane adored so much,
A dream or two slips gently through
Holding still, my heart for you.

Though can't idle with sweet night,
Take the bridle! Ride the light!
For within my searing veins,
Runs a need to grasp the reins.

Intense burning in the yearning
To pass land and ocean turning,
Steeds set pace! Time to race!
I must rejoin my love’s embrace.

 Christopher: Amare ~

Amare et sapere vix deo conceditur!

If love could be a thing, my friend,

A little piece of me,

I’d take the stardust from my eyes

To set my spirit free

I’d sprinkle it like sand across

A vast and open plain

To watch it swirl upon the storm,

And fall like heavy rain

For as I watch the play unfold,

Thus paining my mind’s eye

We’re best to leave this love alone,

It only makes us cry.

-Christopher John Horne

*Translation: The gods never let us love and be wise at the same time.

Aurora:
Ama me fideliter, Fidem meam noto, Decorde totaliter, Et ex mente tota,
Sum presentialiter, Absens in remota.

If I could choose which way to go,

And how all things should be,

I’d find a way to catch your love

And hold it close to me,

I would let my poetry

Speak all I have to say,

And I would take what hinders most,

And cast it all away,

Then I would feel the earth take on

Clear shades of warmest hue,

As I’d take the love you’ve given me,

And send some back to you.

-Aurora Antonovic

*Translation: Love me faithfully,
See how I am faithful,
With all my Heart, and all my Soul,
I am with you,
even though I am far away.

Christopher: My Well Wishing

Gazing through the mystic haze, I stop to check the view
Of kings and paupers, days of play, yet cannot spy on you,
Darkness clouds and swirls around to temper my mind's eye
I incant the chant of ancient mage to flash across the sky.

Winds prance and dance with circumstance, upon the crystal ball
To disclose a show of soft sweet glow within my fervent call,
I could not see, initially, this scene was not for me to claim
For Angels fly, in God's blue sky, above the arcane plane.

Aurora: Poets' Journey

You have a certain way with words, you use them very well,
To enchant me, and enclasp me, as you cast your poet's spell.
I never know, which way they'll go, or where they'll lead me to,
But I know these rhyming journeys end, with me alongside you.

So I listen to your poetry, and let you weave your dreams,
Embossed in love's bright startdust, and encased in clear moonbeams.
Yes, your rhymes have taken aim, and most surely hit their mark,
For they've found their way across the sea, and deftly claimed my heart.

-Aurora Antonovic

Aurora: Persuasion

Coax me, tenderly cajole me,
In a lover's knot, enfold me,
Bend my heart until it sways,
At all your winsome, sweetest ways.
Urge me, gently plead, implore,
Until you, I alone adore,
Woo me 'til I acquiesce,
In all the ways that you love best,
Whisper words caressingly,
Elicit a response in me,
Persuade me, win me, through and through,
Make me fall in love with you.

-Aurora Antonovic

Christopher: Infusion

My gentle princess, my heart's desire,
Upon your hand, I place my fire
In Phoenix flame, we shall arise
Burning ardor, across the skies.
Sun, Star, and Moonlit beam
Cannot compare to all I've seen
Regardless of how hard they try,
My needs met solely in your eyes.
I promise, cherish, to uphold
Every moment, 'til we're old
I give my word, upon one knee
If you would only, honor me.

Aurora: Serenade Me

Come send a line, and breathe a poem,
Create a verse that’s all your own,
Dream a rhyme across the sea,
Wish it from your heart to me.

I will catch it, hold it dear,
And marvel how it found me here,
I then will craft a line or two,
And send it, from my heart, to you.

Aurora Anotonovic, 2004

Christopher: True Harmony

Love your song, it's angel made,
Of the star's soft serenade,
Visage wished for me and you,
Entrancing, dancing, just for two.

True spirit's kin, my words will fly,
Reach for my kiss upon the sky,
Under stardust we shall be,
Embraced within soul's harmony.

Christopher John Horne, 2004

Christopher: My Angel Gone

Waking, watching, upon my view
I cast my loving gaze on you,
For how was I to know, in lieu,
Tomorrow's day steals you away.

To slip so quiet, with Angel's sigh,
Intense the pain is swelled inside,
With all my heart and soul I cry,
For on this day, you went away.

My lover's arms no longer hold me,
Nor whisper in my heart so warmly,
Though with all I promise true,
My love dies with me, just for you.

Christopher John Horne, 2004

Aurora: Angel's Whisper

Your angel is not gone from you,
Simply because obscured view,
Has hidden her with gauzy hue,
She lingers in the twilight’s haze.

If you listen, you will hear
Angel’s wings whispering near,
Telling you to resist fear,
And shake off this dark malaise.

Her arms still hold you soft and close,
Her voice still whispers sweetest boast,
That you’re the one she loves the most,
And will for all remaining days.
