where does the wind go when the grass is still

how  can it cease its song

                               the wail

                           the thunder

                   which can shake trees

the howl which can wrestle with the ocean

                                                   the many voices

                                       caressing

                                       threatening

                                      all- pervading

                                                we are helpless victims

                                                be it breeze or hurricane

                                        homebreaker

                                        soul soother

mover of the air we breathe

                                                                and

on those days it is not here

                                                             we reach out

to run our fingers through its absence

where does the wind go when the grass is still
