Poetry

1. PoeticPortal is a family and child friendly site that will not accept erotica of any kind. We do welcome all styles of poetry, from academic to spoken word. We also welcome reviews on poetry books, spoken word CDs or files and author (poet) interviews. (MP3 format preferred)
2. For new or unregistered poets, PoeticPortal will only accept submissions via email.  Submissions sent by email must be in the body of the email, text format preferred, no attachments please.
3. Registered members will find a biography submission form and a poetry submission form in the Member Menu.  These forms are new and appear to work.  We request members experiencing difficulty with the new forms to advise the Webmaster.
4. For poetry submissions, please send up to three poems at a time only and a brief bio in the text of an email. New poetry submissions that do not contain a brief bio will not be considered. Reviews and interviews must also be accompanied by a brief bio to be considered for publication. If you have photos to send, please email in JPG/JPEG format to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  along with the tag-line "photo of ------," so we can keep track.
5. Please PROOF your work before sending it to PoeticPortal. This means punctuation, and spelling.  Custom punctuation and/or spelling is acceptable.
6. Beware of plagiarism! Your work will be scrutinized closely before publication on this website.
7. Poets who have previously submitted their work and have been published to PoeticPortal.net may upon request be allowed to create and edit their work directly in their own content space using a simple online HTML editor.  This feature will only be made available to registered members of PoeticPortal.net.

Quotable Quotes

1. Registered members will have a link on the Member Menu that will open a list of all submitted quotes.
2. Below the list of quotes is a form where new quotes can be submitted.
3. Up to 10 quotes can be submitted at a time.
4. The title field is not required.
