The best way to add content to PoeticPortal is by copying and pasting it into the HTML editor as plain text.  Getting plain text is easy enough by using MS Notepad, EditPad or other text editors.  Word processing applications such as MS Word, MS Works, MS WordPad and other similar non Microsoft applications that enable the creation of more sophisticated layouts do not translate very well into the HTML format used on a Website.  If your preference is to use something more than just a plain text editor, it is easy enough to save it in a plain text format prior to copy/paste into the Poeticportal edit box.  Do not use the word processor application to convert to HTML.  These applications add a great deal of unseen overhead in the form of  hidden code and properties that unnecessarily increase the size of the content and can make it difficult to control the layout in a page.  They are only meant to create complete stand alone documents.
