Awoke to the winter wonderment
How quickly the rain can change
Fluff gently falling crossways
Snuggling once reaching the earth
The dull cast is brightened
By the crystalline reflection

Ahhh, to be able to enjoy the bliss

Yet necessity precedes curiosity
And practicality overrides play
To be an adult involves assumptions
Priorities not set by me
To ignore the outdoor splendor
And immerse in indoor deeds

Ahhh, to be able to enjoy the bliss

Hearken to the children’s laughter
Spontaneity is of the spirit
Regularity is of the mind
To supersede societal norms
And act on the impulse of life
This is the secret to life lived

Ahhh, to be able to enjoy the moment
   To enjoy the bliss
      To awaken in a
          Winter Wonderland
