What season's color is my special friend...
The golden sun upon the fields of spring
that brings new warmth and life at winter's end
to lift the heart of every living thing?
The yellow bonnets of the daffodil
or crimson velvet of the rose in June?
Your skin's as soft as them, yet softer still,
like summer green laid down for lovers soon.
Perhaps, most like the moon's full, silver eye
that watches over us romantically,
and paints its silver lining in the sky
to light Earth's dark and lonely canopy?
Beyond each spring and summer's hue are you,
who color my life--my dear friend, you do.
