Where have I left my priorities?
By the entry-way table next to the keys of security?
In the closet under my purse of transient wealth?
Next to the mug of temporary ambition?
Within the drawer of night-time secrets?
How will I find my priorities?
By searching in the realm of knowledge?
In the pursuit of new life experiences?
Next to the search for outer joy?
Within the exploration of inner desires?
What are my priorities for now?
What is the definition of my ideal?
If all the questions had their answers
I would likely start again
And if I start again
Will there ever be an end?
How do I define THE END
If I do not believe it exists
Than I shall not worry about such lies
What are my priorities for later?
All will evolve
All will revolve
In through the out door
Out the window of opportunity
I’d best keep them contained inside
I’d best keep them arranged inside
Priorities, where are thou within?
