The cloudscape is as vast as the sky is blue
Billowing white clouds intermingling
Many forms combine into one
Sharing and jockeying for attention
Bu as the pressure builds changes occur
The colour darkens to grey and black
Winds pick up the cue to cool and quicken
As the raindrops ready for the great release
We all need to release, don’t we?
Thunder rumbles and tumbles through the air
Lightning flashes in tune and time
Giving light to the darkness
Energy to the stillness that was
Winds swirl and dance in response
Birds take cover and insects too
As I watch at my window
Awaiting the rains descent
We all need to release, don’t we?
The rain falls and jumps and turns into rivers
Covering the landscape and becoming one
For with the release comes the relief
We aren’t so different, are we?
