The lion may sleep tonight, but I do not
Internal stirrings rob me of slumber
Thoughts brewing are caffeine to my blood
Dreams come and go as breaths
Shallow, unfulfilled, persistent

The lion may sleep tonight, but I do not
Indefinite decisions tug at me
Confusion is s a tidal wave drowning my gain
Choices come and go like sustenance
Varied, plentiful, disturbing

The lion may sleep tonight, but I do not
Imaginings plunder my prized insights
Acceptance is a plague leaving few survivors
Confidence comes and goes as pain
Growth, intensity, lacking

The lion may sleep tonight, but I do not
Spiritual pulls distort my view
Passion waxes and wanes as the moon
Truth comes and goes as daylight
Reliable, undeniable, surreal

The lion may sleep tonight, but I do not
I can not sleep tonight
