As I sit here and think of my story,
Recalling my words as a kid.
Life is history warmed over,
I was sure I'd not do what you did.

As I sit here and think of my story,
Who would have thought you were right.
Conveying your thoughts and experience,
Thank God you candled the light.

As I sit here and think of my story,
Funny how happy I've been.
Remembering so much of your wisdom,
By God I'd do it again.

As I sit here and think of my story,
As I crossed lives teacherous moat.
The laughter, the tears and the music,
I'm so glad I rowed YOUR own boat…
