[Written for an 85 year old beloved Doctor by a faithful patient.]

I've been thinking about our Doc and friend,
Praying for sure, that he's well on the mend.
He's been like a father, In this little ole town,
With his wisdom and laughter, and bit of the clown.

We give praise to our Lord on this Fathers Day,
For sending this man, with his old fashioned ways.
Us old folks he's bandaged, Like you and like me,
The babies he's helped, And perched on his knee.

We wish him happiness, Health and good cheer,
may the Lord be with him year after year.
He's a gem and a rock in this ole mining town,
And we cherish the gold in the nugget we found.
