Daughter Print E-mail

In the quiet time before the earliest of light,
When old folks lay awake, reminiscing in the night.
How to thank a daughter, for all her thoughtful ways,
To let her know the joy she brings, To brighten up our days.

We think of all the good times, And all that she's done right,
And yes, we want to hug her and hold her oh so tight.
Now that she's a mother ,I know that she well knows,
The special way a child takes your heart and makes it glow.

So on this mothers day; we have many words to say,
But words seem not enough on the second week in May.
We ask the Lord to stand by her, For she is far away,
And send our love to our sweet girl, Forever and today.

"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep."
