I decided to visit,
a church one day.
I went in to listen,
here's what they had to say.

Some sang, some preached,
some testified,
how their old self was dead
"and buried" they cried.

I filled out their visitors card
before going back home,
so later those folks,
begin to call on the phone.

They gossiped, they tattled,
seems they could remember,
and recite by heart,
the faults of each member.

Did you say you buried,
the old and corrupt?
I wonder how deep,
for he keeps getting up.

Well, if the old you has been dead
ever since you got saved,
you need to roll a big rock,
on top of your grave.
