I've bought some tools with which to write
Some poetry and some rhymes,
In hopes that I will published be
In the P.O.E.M.S Daily Times.

A Thesaurus, a Webster's, too,
Brand new pens and paper;
I'm sure with tools as fine as these,
I'll pull off this slick caper.

But to be sure the poems I write
Are considered bright and cuter.
I went out and bought myself
The latest, hot computer

Now with these tools I'm sure that I
Will have no doubt with rhymin'.
I'll toss out poems prolifically
Why..I'll be double-timin'.

I sit here now surrounded by
My shiny brand new tools
And realize that I've become
The truly "fool of fools"!

My brow's a'sweat, my tongue is dry,
My brain it is without
A single thought in this wide world
To write a poem about.
