A Soldier for my Soul Print E-mail

Shadow of darkness for so long
Stepping back into my eyes,
Emotion thrown to the wolves
Upon whose jaws I slowly die.

Marked by fate to be the prey
Rock of ages in land of old,
I cast adrift the hates embrace
Sending forth my soldiers' soul.

Time to fight the destined path
Who burns to turn the page?,
Call of purpose intent on life
Banner risen upon this stage.

In glorious light I rule the day
With inner demon thrown aside,
No longer shall deceit prevail
For with Angels' eyes I ride.

- Christopher John Horne

Note from the author:
"Soldier for my Soul was written to be inspirational to those whom have 'a spark' to light their fire in whatever they wish to do. "
